 Convert dBm to Watts.
 

Use your Microsoft Calculator (C:\WINDOWS\calc.exe). Select the scientific mode.
Use the MOUSE or KEYBOARD and clear (C) or (Esc) all previous entries!

Example:     dB value = 44 dBm

1. Type in 44 and divide the dB value by 10.

2. Mark INV and select log.

3. The Indication is 25118.86.. milliwatt (mW).

4. Divide the indication by 1000. The indication is 25.11.. Watts

Convert average RF power  to RF peak power.

Use your Microsoft Calculator (C:\WINDOWS\calc.exe). Select the scientific mode. 
Use the MOUSE or KEYBOARD and clear (C) or (Esc) all previous entries!

Average RF power = 177.8 watts

 RF Pulsewidth = 2.5 microseconds

Pulse Repetition Time (PRT) = 2000 microseconds(usec)

 Equation:     PRT x (Pavrg  /  RF pulse width)

Use the MOUSE or KEYBOARD and clear (C) or (Esc) all previous entries!

  1. Enter 177.8.

  2. Press the divide key.

  3. Enter 2.5 and press the "=" key.

  4. Press the " * " key.

  5. Enter 2000 and press " = ".

  6. The indication should by 142240 (Watts).

    Convert watts to a dB-value. 
    Use your Microsoft Calculator (C:\WINDOWS\calc.exe). Select the scientific mode. 
    Use the MOUSE or KEYBOARD and clear (C) or (Esc) all previous entries!

    Example: 100 Watt to dBW

    Use the MOUSE or KEYBOARD and clear (C) or (Esc) all previous entries!

    Enter 100 and select the "log" key.

    The indication is 2, if not try it again.

    Multiply the indication by 10.

    The indication is 20 (dBW).
